Overview
Gold Road Resources’ Yamarna tenements surround the Gruyere gold mine on the eastern edge of the Yilgarn Craton.
As Superintendent 2IC, Morgan ran exploration activity on site and covered both ends of the pipeline: new greenfield targets, and brownfield drilling to grow Mineral Resources at existing deposits.
Gilmour, a high-grade deposit wholly owned by Gold Road at Yamarna, grew from a first Mineral Resource of 0.26 Moz in December 2019 to 0.30 Moz by December 2021. In January 2025 Gold Road released the Gilmour Pre-Feasibility Study and a maiden Ore Reserve of 0.19 Moz, with a post-tax NPV5 of A$231 million at A$3,500/oz. Refer to Gold Road’s ASX announcements and to Gold Fields for current information.
